This year independence day was in the middle of the week one again...I've got to say I'm not a big fan of a mid week holiday and having to be ready to work the next day, but, in spite of it all Independence day 2013 really knocked it out of the park. :) I started out the day with cross fit and then by having breakfast with my brother and his family. Benny joined me in the front yard for some sunshine and nail painting.

Around lunch time the boys and I ready for a nap. After they went to sleep I headed out for some fun in the sun.
Our friend over on the west side had a pool party. It was so refreshing: sunshine, water, watermelon/coconut water, and good friends.

In the early evening we headed over to our friends house on the beach. We saw this gem of a man sporting his American flag pants, very festive.
The view from our friends apartment....I was pretty much ready to marry the man just for this view. Gorgeous!

This had to be the best firework show EVER! After fireworks we went to dinner, and were home early enough for a few hours of sleep before work the next day.
