Shakespeare in the park

One weeknight in June I met up with some friends for picnic dinner and Shakespeare in the park.

One of the beautiful things about living in LA is meeting up with people like this in public places for live performances.

The sets and acing were amazing. So blessed to live in this awesome place!

Soccer!

This summer was my very first time really Watching/following the world cup so my friend from work gave me this chart so I would have a visual way of tracking how thing broke down. 

I watched games everywhere…including the cultural hall at church.

and at work (but only during breaks). Turns out soccer is amazing and I loved every second of watching/talking about the games this world cup season…Soccer you've gained a forever fan.

June Randomness

June include several other memorable events including runs at the rose bowl.

Some were harder than others to make it through.

Some therapeutic shopping.

Some bring sally up at cross fit.

Super mans….

And more running.

A really great fortune.

Step ups….instead of box jumps because my foot was bothering me after my half marathon.

and wall balls.

Some days were I stuck with my diet...

And girls nights out where I didn't stick to my diet….Micel and I.

Baseball and beach days

Later in June was mormon night at dodger stadium. My friend Kristi and I headed out together.

We were able to make it down on the field in time to watch the fireworks show! Awesome. :)

The next day Kristi and I went to Malibu for more fun in the sun and got free hats from some dudes watching a surf competition.

That night I went to a concert with friends. Another epic weekend on the books. Good times.

Bestie time and bike riding

One weekend in Late June I headed down to the OC to spend the weekend with my BFF for the weekend. This is my I hate being stuck in traffic face.

On Friday I left work earlier than normal so I arrived at DL earlier than Hillary did so I spent time shopping in downtown Disney and was excited to discover it was time for summer time shade of make up.

The next day I met up with some mid singles for a bike ride.

After our bike ride I headed back to Hillary's house where we hung out and watched Jimmy Fallon videos…including tight pants. This video is epic and makes me laugh every time!

On Sunday Hillary made me breakfast!

And I got to spend time poolside enjoying the sunshine.

After church we watched the USA men's soccer game on somebodies tablet! It was an epic game. I love soccer!

IT was a great weekend of making new friends, sunshine, and BFF time!

Fathers day weekend

Since I had just been home the previous weekend…I decided to stay in LA for Father's day weekend. On Friday I got off early and headed to the beach with my friend emily.

It was an amazingly beautiful day a the beach.

We came to the beach early in part to stake out a fire pit for a bonfire later with friends.

I love, love, love evenings at the beach.

The bonfire was a blast with friends, smoores, and plenty of story telling.

The next day I spent time poolside with friends.

Then came dinner for my friend David's birthday, I've never had such a fancy or relish hamburger.

That night my friend Kristi and I drove up the coast and stayed in this awesome ocean side hotel, with graduations and fathers day weekend I'm pretty sure we got the last available room in Ventura.

Since I couldn't be with my Dad I posted this gem on FB.

For brunch we found a super cute restaurant within walking distance of our hotel with an adorable outdoor patio before heading to the beach and relaxation. It was just the weekend that I needed full of friends, fun in the sun, and relaxation.
