Ever since the world cup I really, really wanted to see Clint Dempsey play live. Clint is the captain of the US Men's team and he plays for the MLS team based in Seattle the Sounders. So I decided to check out when they were playing the Galaxy (LA's MSL team) and my friend Natalie and I bought tickets.
The game also was Landon Donovan's last home game before retirement. For those that don't know Landon Donovan plays for the galaxy and he is the most accomplished men's player in US history. Here I am ready for the game (Landon's # is 10).
Our seats were right behind the goal!
Me and Natalie ready for the game.
We were so close we could see Landon warming up, that's him in the middle.
And Clint 4th from the Left.
Here's Landon in action #10.
Boys II Men came and performed during half time…to honor Landon because they are his favorite band. The fact that "Boys II Men" are his favorite group makes me love him even more.
Here's Landon leading his team off the field at half time, it totally looks like a flying V, no?
Natalie is a great soccer watching partner because she is so passionate about it! Here we are booing the ref for a bad call.
We weren't sure about this call.
Excitedly cheering for Landon!
I was outraged apparently at this missed attempt at a goal.So excited for the Galaxy's goal!
Clint left the field to a chorus of boos from galaxy fans but still applauding. Such a great game, and so excited to be a part of such a epic event!
