The next morning I woke up to this view!!
We stayed at Steph's parents house on the island. The first morning we took a tour. They had banana trees.
Steph was a good tour guide and told us about each plant as we hiked around the property.
I picked fresh tangerines to go with our breakfast. So awesome. :)They had pineapple growing in the yard too….who knew they grow on a bush like this?
Our first morning we spent checking out the little town near steph's parents house, I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous views! Steph, Val, Ally, Me.
This was the view from the restaurant where we ate lunch.
After lunch we hit the beach for a bit! This place is beautiful.

We walked through the lava tube…you know the place where lava once flowed. Me and Val were spooked.
Lava tube….very spooky.
Apparently the fumes in the park may be life threatening…NBD right?
We hiked out to a place with native Hawaiian rock carving. Awesome.
It was so beautiful out there!
we drove to the edge of the island!
Ally and I with the lava arch…this was formed when the lava reached the edge of the island and flowed into the ocean.
Me on top of the lava arch!
The water at the park was amazingly delish!
At night we could see the lava glowing from the visitors center. Super cool.
On day 3, we took it easy in the morning making breakfast and hanging out at the house. Stephanie bought a giant avocado…I've never seen a avocado so huge! It was so cool!
I made guava/tangerine juice, it took forever but it was sooo tasty!
Then we hit the beach!

Dessert was this macadam nut deliciousness.
The next morning Steph and I went to cross fit Kona for a work out. It's amazing how much the humidity makes the workout so much harder. It was fun to try a new gym and meet some of the locals. Turns out all over the world Awesome people are doing cross fit. :)
After cross fit we hit up a local farmers market.
The stop signs in Hawaii don't say stop they say Whoa! :)
